Running-in in the cold, wet and heat
Thanks to Peet and Christa and Chris and Golda for the company while trying to put on some kilometres on the S1000RR today to get it ready for its service on Tuesday.
Plan was to go to Dullstroom for breakfast but by the time we got to the Ultra City outside Middelburg we were quite a bit wet.
After a coffee we continued as the rain has let up. A few kilometres further started raining again and looked like that in the Dullstroom direction. Decided to turn round and headed back via the Johannesburg road, Delmas turnoff and on to Bapsfonteing and Que Sera for breakfast.
Total round trip of 285km from Centurion to Bapsfontein for breakfast! Then a quick refuel and all headed home.
Dorothy has enjoyed riding the R1200S the past two Sundays
Yours truly with the S1000RR
What a bike!!
Decided that I still needed some more distance for the service on Tuesday so went for a quick 265km ride to Hekpoort, Hartebeespoort Dam and home again.
Total of 576km for the day and the bike now on 859km. For the distance done on a superbike I felt remarkably good - not stiff nor sore. A comfortable bike to ride.
This time when I got home I had two bikes to wash - after having been through rain in Middelburg and near Sasol Pinehaven.
The now clean bikes:

Excellent Pics - seems you are now going over the "Wild Side" - the dark (GS) side no longer at issue

Absolutely - when Dorothy starts enjoying a ride in the rain......
...must have something to do with the bike - and of course the company.

Many safe and pleasurable km's.
