SOWETO Ride - 7 February: This one for the S's
We will depart 07h00 for 07h30 from Atterbury Shell and take the Ben Schoeman to Jhb and a short stint through Fordsburg on our way to Soweto.
A leg stretcher at Soccer City (hold thumbs we can get close enough) and another one at the Orlando power station.
Breakfast will be a buffet at Lebo's Backpackers Lodge @ R50.00 per person.
For those interested we can tour a migrant worker's hostel and experience the Zulu urban culture, after breakfast.
Don't need to worry about safety.

Re: SOWETO Ride - 7 February: This one for the S's
After spending everyday of the week in traffic I cannot think of a worse place to go. Next we will go to Hillbrow.
Is visiting Soweto really what a relaxing ride is all about.
For what it is worth I will not be joining. I would personally prefer having breakfast under large indigenous trees at the Botanical Gardens at Little Falls with a chance sightingof the nesting pair of Black Eagles a distinct possibility. Compare this with taking a tour through a migrant hostel.

As usual, I am looking forward to this one. We have become accustomed to the well organised outings with the club.

Without pidling on someone else's parade - the 2nd option sound more appealing to me. We will be in the eastern transvaal that weekend so wont make it either.

I’ve never been into Soweto and would very much like to experience it.

Re: SOWETO Ride - 7 February: This one for the S's
Just because I'm slow at posting, doesn't mean that there will be ONLY an S ride.
Of course we are catering for the GS-minded folk, or how else?
I'll be doing the recce ride Saturday morning. The planned route will take us through variety of terrain and awesome scenes of old mine infrastructure. Expect a couple of surprises to keep it real!

If you're not planning to take the whole of Saturday and would like some company let me know. Might just be able to join
