Its like have a meeting to discuss the next meetings agenda - sounds very much like all spheres of government nowadays. Perhaps wwe should park this topic for now - has gone on for about as long as the initial poll.

Regarding this "poll" issue, my view:

The actual poll lasts only a second... when you cast your vote. Then the poll is over for you. So what is the problem?

The balance of the thread is the debate, and that is the interesting part of the whole subject. It is important to see others' opinions on a matter/subject. It gives one a holistic view of the club members' opinion. This has to date changed my mind on some topics.

I would vote for not blocking the poll threads.

I say it again, if the thread becomes boring don't visit it. Others still want to
