December Informal Ride
Hi fellow riders, we’re thinking of spending a day or two in Mpumalanga in DEC.
Was thinking, either the 21st to the 23rd or alternatively 28-30.
Any recommendations and most importantly any interest to join in?

Re: December Informal Ride
Trying to be more active on the "forum". Disappointed by the great response I had! We however, will be doing a trip in DEC to Mpumalanga. I would appreciate recommendations on where to stay/scenic routes

Re: December Informal Ride
Hazyview is a nice central spot to stay form there you can go to
Sabie from Sabie White River back to Hazyview
Next day you can go to Graskop and visit God's Window, go back to Graskop have breakfast as Harries and go to Pilgrims Rest for a Coffee and Muffin. If you brave from Pilgrims Rest to Lydenburg then Long Tom Pass back to Sabie and Hazyview.
Enjoy it

Re: December Informal Ride
Would've loved to join - but will be holiday-away with family.
See Recommended Places - elsewhere on the forum - maybe a visit to the crocodile farm?

Enjoy!

Re: December Informal Ride
Would have loved to join you guys, but we will be going to the Southern most point for our extreme award.
Sabie is also a nice place to stay. Try the Woodsman, they have very nice food and a popular gathering place for bikers. Enjoy!

Yikes sorry (PC)2E! I've only been in that area once with my bike and did not go for sight-seeing (had work team building in Pilgrims Rest). So I haven't given my 2c because I'm really a "noob" when it comes to Mpumulanga - probably because you have to ride an utter boring road to get to the pretty places!!!
If it makes you feel better about the lack of feedback, your post attracted 72 views!!!! Old Jamie used to comment fondly about the "roofkykers"
I'm also not here - leaving for Cape Town on 21 Dec - WITHOUT MY BIKE... AGAIN for 3 weeks
You must enjoy it and write a lekker ride report when you get back!
