Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.
Jamie was a very valuable member of this club and the biking community. I always enjoyed his contributions on the forum. May you rest in peace.
My condolences to Stienie and their children. May you find peace in our Lord.

May our Lord Jesus Christ comfort you and guide you until you see Jamie again. He is not dead, but alive - just staying in another place where we will meet up with him again. He was not a great guy, he still is.
Hi Jamie, please give our deepest love to our youngest son, Emile. Have a laugh, have a smile, and know that we will one day join you never to be parted again. We thank the Lord for the time we could have spent with you and we are looking forward to meeting up with you again.
For Clarity: Johan and Ina's son Emile also passed away recently

Ongelooflik hartseer!
Jamie RIP.

Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.
'n Ongeluk gebeur in 'n oogwink.

I still have no words. Jamie you were an example to all of us, gentleman, family man. Just a week ago we had a chat. You will be missed by many. You made such a huge impression in many lives worldwide, referring to the BMWSUPERBIKES.COM website for one.
Our condolences to Stienie and the children. We will carry you in our prayers.

Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.
Ive finally tried to gather my thoughts, or so it seems. Im still in utter disbelief about all of this. I went to visit the family today, and Jamie's presence is all around. The true tragedy of this situation still cannot be grasped, and probably never will!
Whats makes all of this worse, is that Jamie is the most safety conscious rider ever. I can still remember one day that I got mad at him because we cruised at 160 between towns and not one drop faster. When conditions were not safe, we'd ride at 50km/h or even slower to make sure that everyone reaches their destination.
Jamie was without a doubt a role model, and a superior one at that. Not only in biking, but in life. He has the most wonderful family, one actually gets jealous just being in their presence.
He was a father figure in my life, even if we were friends.
Jamie never forced you onto his opinion, but stood by yours if it was worthy.
Jamie was always a man of his word, and never backed out of any statement.
In South Africa alone his presence is already missed, not even to mention the many lives he touched outside of our borders.
Jamie was one of the foremost knowledgeable people on K bikes on the planet, and i'm sure many would second that.
Jamie always stayed humble, even though he was a very well known figure in the community(within biking and outside).
Ive finally decided to name the bike something else, besides "the missile!"
From here on out, its named J Rossouw and in his everlasting memory and impression that was left behind. The K bike I have the privilege of owning/riding still is Jamie's favourite K-bike out of the many he owned.

Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.

We too did not know Jamie and family personally but in some way felt as if we did through reading his ride / trip reports.
To his family, may the Lord grant you all the strength that you may require through this difficult time.

Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.
Please grant me the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all the kind messages on the forum, sms’s, phone calls, flowers, meals and visits. I cannot begin to explain what this means in such a time of sorrow. We are still in a state of shock but it is with support like this, that we can face the future, albeit day by day. Thank you all for caring...... I don’t think in his wildest dreams he would have thought, he had such an influence on people.... so sorry he will never have the chance to read all these posts. Mermaid
As mentioned before, we are with you
To all that was wondering:
Dave Swart and I visited the accident scene and the investigating officer yesterday together with Jean, Jamie's son.
Without going into too much detail all facts indicate that
- Jamie was innocent.
- The truck was on the wrong side off the road
- Jamie tried to avoid an accident by swerving to his right
- As we knew Jamie he proved again to be the cautious party in this incident
- Jamie passed away on impact
Safe riding, Bigman

Re: Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P.
I am in the Congo and heard this terrible news on Monday already. What a shock. I know Jamie and Stienie for a couple of years now and he will be deeply missed by my family. Jamie was a peace maker and always had a win-win attitude in life.
My condolences to the Roussow family. You know where to come to for any comfort.
