Protective Gear for School Kids
Hi friends
Everyday on my way to work I see this. School kids on their 125s without gear, just in a school shirt and pants and the girls in skirts and shirts.
I can not believe that no one has seen the opportunity to design at least a protective school jacket. To top it off one of the local School principals in my town is also a BMW bike owner!
How many kids are allowed to drive to school without any protective gear! Parents don't know of better and the Schools don't care!
I think the attitude must be changed! If I was still at school and a COOL protective school jacket was available I would have definitely used it!
Regards
Rudi

Re: Protective Gear for School Kids
Great suggestion, but I understand some school jackets cost as much as a riding jacket to begin with! And there are so many different colours/styles of school uniforms that it may be impractical to brand a protective jacket for a specific school.
You can just as well allow pupils to wear any jacket, but rather make facilities available where they can safely store their gear (jacket/helmet/gloves/boots/etc). And the school can rather then adopt the BMW Motorcycle Club Pretoria South Africa approach and brand a reflective vest?
Still a good idea to encourage safety amongst the youngsters. And no better way than to set the example ourselves!
