The time has come.........
to part ways. Today you left me "wif your pipe"
good bye to my “friend” and trusted steed.
you served me with distinction and I trust your new owner will be just as happy and equally proud
sad to see you go……..
I know, I know.......one should not feel like that about a bike but it's just the way it is
I do have a reminder of this day though. When I left Bavarian some idiot tried to reverse over the nose of my car and I had to get out of the way. In the process, the trailer's lowering device handle pushed trough the car's tail light

Re: The time has come.........
Sad, yes, but happy, I suspect yes as well.
It is time to part with the old and get excited for the new.
I am sure the new owner will be very happy, and in a while you will be VERY happy too......

Re: The time has come.........
the sound of this particular bike was (is) just something else imo.
Funny enough, I have had 3 of the same bikes in a row of which the one before this one was the most "pimped" of the lot but this one just stole my heart.
maybe beacuase this one is such a looker (imo again) and as added bonus, the proud holder of the "top score"

Re: The time has come.........
I always have great difficulty letting go of my vehicles both 2 wheeled and 4 wheeled. I know that very soon I must let the Sprint go to someone else. I will miss the sound of the two brothers pipe and the profile of that bike which is glorious. As soon as my cash flow improves I have to have a GS 1200.

Re: The time has come.........
Very sad to see the K go. Was the best bike I ever owned.
Will miss that sound whizzing past on breakfast runs and long trips.
Still the best bike ( and rider ) for no.2 position on rides !
What is the next bike ?
Surely you must have pics/specs/reports etc of the new beast already !

Re: The time has come.........
Jamie, I'm not the fastest "chick" on the block (hey ginger lady), but when you get, what it is that you're getting, and you move into the first position, the one just ahead of the ride lead, can we follow you - again!!! Oh and pleeeze can you put some awesome sound on like you had, there was only one K sounding the way it did even when you were far (faaaaar) ahead! It's a bit like a magnet, draws the other little machines in!

*gets out his calculator and does the conversion...*
Plus 5% Ad Valorum and 14%VAT, I take it?
*punches the buttons*
About R240k...?
Why that's about the same price as a BMW 116 hatch...and it's far more fun than an M6 !

Re: The time has come.........
no, the 15 150 € includes their sales tax already (19% ?) plus the retail margin
I also think (sincerely hope) we will see more or less the same ratio here as what they have with the Jap bikes (R1). That is BMW's whole objective with this bike......to take a share of the current Jap superbike market. With a straight conversion to guesstimate the local price, it will be playing with the Ducati's......on a fairly small playground.
