Warning from On Board Computer
I truely hope that someone can give me an answer.
I the last while I have received a warning on the instrument panel at the height of the tripometer. The warning signal I get is an Exclamation mark between 2 arrows kind a thing. I haven't been able to locate this kind of warning signal in the Owners Manual and am short of running to the nearest Motorrad Workshop. It has occurred on an intermitant basis and happened yesterday afternoon again.
Hope someone has experienced the same and can shed some light on this phenominon.

When I received this sign on my previous RT (2005 model) it was just a reminder to visually check the oil level. When that appears it is close to being requiring a top-up of one pint. I usually topped up 1 pint between service intervals. Sold it on 54k km. On the newer one (2007) it was not yet necessary to top-up and that sign also didn't appear yet - even after 44k km.
Hope this helps

Warning from On Board Computer
Seems, that that was exactly the problem. The oil level was a little below the Centre Point Mark on the inspection glass. I have subsequently been tolr that the Oil Sensor on these bikes till last, 2007, were a nit problamatic and tended to go faulty. Needless to say After having had 200mls of oil put in the sump, the problem has not reappeared. One by lesson learned on this RT. Though admittedly have to say that it seems to be a regular thing that oil needs topping-up between services of 20.000kms. usually about 3/4000 short of servicing.
Thanks to everyone for the help.

Re: Warning from On Board Computer
Most Beemers use roughly a pint between services. I normally have to top up the LT halfway between the services as the oil level has then dropped to the minimum of the oil level window - although the sensor light would by then not have come on. I normally know when the level gets low as i can hear the engin sounds changes.
