Is this bling or farkle...
Eventually, after more than two months waiting for a dealer to order 1200GS side panels, I got fed up - especially when I asked on Tuesday when they are expected and I got an indifferent 'who knows' from the spares dept.
So, managed to get a referral to Cy Tech (thanks Bennie)

This was fitted by the supplier. I fitted Dorothy's when I got home this evening
So now we ready for the wet roads - no more spray from the rear tyre.

Not bad but personally I am not sure I would bother. When offroading with the GS you get dirty and I am not sure how much it would help.
In the rain, well usually I am so wet it looks like I jumped in a swimming pool so not sure it will help there either. It looks good though so to me, bling!

What I have found on a number of occassions is that you are riding on wet roads - not much rain so no rain pants on and the spray from the wheel wets your leg and it is pretty uncomfortable being dry except for hamstring area - but then again it is personal preference.
