The area just east of Cape Town (up to Swellendam)has received over 200 mm of rain within 24 hour, and more rain is predicted due to the cut off low still being present in the area. The bridge on the R60 between Aston and Worcester was washed away. The N1 and N2 was closed yesterday for the public safety. Montagu on the R62 was also flooded with road being closed.

Our swedish friend, Richard Sjögårdh, arrived in SA earlier today.
Here are the two Richards after a cup of tea on an impressive new OR Tambo airport.
The picture was taken just before Richard (pronounced Rikaard) boarded his plane to Cape Town where he will start his bike trip on a 1200GS back to Gauteng.
