Database of Services/Occupations

I think it is an excellent idea! However, some members might feel that they would not like to mix their job and hobby - for instance if someone is an orthopaedic surgeon, he will be bugged every time someone had a little crash...

You then have the choice on whether you want to participate in this or not!

Personally - i think this is an excellent idee. Given Gerts comments - the orthopaedic can make bags of money or not.

On another forum, ok, the Wild Dog Forum, they have a section dedicated to "Non-biking Business Opportunities".

Under this section they have "Business Contacts" for all different kinds of industries and services.

So. It's a good idea. Shall we start a database in table format?
Any other ideas?

I would not have the e-mail address showing in the event that it gets picked up for spam. If someone want to contact a person on the list they could then send a PM to that person

It's everyone's own decision what info to make public.
It is true - be careful with email addresses - robots may spam you.

Everything is possible - this is unfortunately not a very user friendly table.
I'll get it started and then you can decide if you want to use it.
(The forum does not allow attachments other than pictures, otherwise I would've used a spreadsheet.)

I suggest using the use the word 'dot' (e.g. co dot za) in the table so that spam scanners do not steal the data to their benefit.
It is easy to substitute "dot" with . and then the address will work.
