The new K1300S, K1300R & K1300GT
It has been an open secret for a while now that a 1300 K bike is expected within the next 6 months but up to now, almost no detailes were available.
Compliments of BMWSuperbikesdotcom , this became known about the 1300 - and from a seemingly respectable source as well:
" I have some more info on the new models, went through the bikes in more detail:
The bikes will have a 1292cc engine, in what appears to be the same chassis/frame, and the same duolever front end. The end can is slightly different, slightly hexagonal at the very end of it. Same headlight unit, and now with LED rear lights and indicators. All new switchgear, including new indicator switches. The bike will also have a quickshifter as a factory option and a new ESA 2, also as a factory option. Also has a new pillion grabrail.
The R gets similar treatment, a very similar headlight unit, only more recessed into the front of the bike. Very similar tank panels to the existing model, and same options/features as the S.
The GT sees a bit more change, it gets a new vent/panel on the side fairing, to help break up the slabsided nature of the previous model. Its actually a little like the new design on the side of the new 7 Series. Makes the bike look much better though! Again, just slight styling tweaks throughout. They have also made the pillion seat comfort on all bikes, especially the R"
possibly the only disappointing part of this news for me is the change in switch gear. I use both Jap and BM on a weekly basis and most definitely prefer the 3 button BM layout.

It can be interpreted in many ways .
Lets call it a spy fly for now.
I ride a GS, my fly is the smallest
