Boxter cylinder sync
I want to balance the idle on my R1150 Rockster and try to use the Manometer technique as describe in: http://obairlann.net/reaper/motorcycle/manometer.html.
On idle i can get it in balance, but do not know how lean or rich the setting is. Should I start to balance this after 2 turns of the brass screw or when? You can balance this at any place between 1 to 2.5 turns of the screw.
Anyone did this before?
Pieter

Re: Boxter cylinder sync
Richard,
maybe I got it wrong. Search on Google under Manometer BMW and this site is one of the first to list.
It is basically a 6 mm plastic pipe filled with some water and then bended in a "U" shape, fixed to apiece if wood with the two open ends attached to the vacuum nipples of the throttle bodies.
It works fine, but where is the best setting of the brass screws, between 1-2.5 turns. If this screw control the air/fuel mixture, then there must be a point that will be optimum to start the balancing of the two cylinders.
