800 to 800, 4 to 2, VFR to ST
Today (yesterday) Stienie converted from a Honda gal to a Beemer lady.
After being on the waiting list way back in 2006 for a ST and then cancelling her order due to........let's say unfortunate circumstances which led her to buy a Honda instead, it finally happened.
Really sad to see the Veefer goes.....what a great bike but equally fond to welcome the F800ST to the bike family.....the ever extending one
six of one and half a dozen of the other?........only time will tell but I'm willing to bet she will not miss the cold grips
Congrats my love, may you have many safe and happy km's
now where on earth have I ended up
wow, it's Africa!.....wonder if they understand German here
all shiny in the showroom, I'm a bit nervous.......maybe she's my new owner......she looks nice, I think I like her
time to leave for my new home......wonder if there will be other bikes as well
so this is it?.....where's the twisties man (women), let's rather hit the road
at least something is familiar here, most my other family members have an Akra end (no prizes for guessing our preferred brand in the exhaust market )

Re: 800 to 800, 4 to 2, VFR to ST
Thanks for the good wishes.
Please to report that .............
we are bonding , that's now me and the Beemer
400 km and I'm smiling. Comfort level for me a bit better than the Veefer due to the less aggressive riding position. Lots of dinga malories to play with during the ride on the bordcomputer, the fabulously comfy heated grips and that lovely sound from the Akra can.........dan's hy nog vinnig uit die blokke ook jong - can not wait for the 5000 rpm limitation to "dissappear"
And the best of all given the current fuel price, is the consumption - granted 5000 rpm = 138km/h and with fairly aggressive acceleration to that point as recommended but still, wait for it........................................
4.3l /100km or more than 23km to the litre.......woohoo, eat your hart out K1200S
