Looks like a tractor on 2 wheels. Are these training bikes for would be Harley owners - given the wide tackies - cant fall over so easily.

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
The solid wide wheels were used for sand - as in desert warfare...?

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
Then presumably these bikes were used in the sahara during the 2nd WW, either by the MP's or the despatch riders - wild gues. Cant see enough detail of the enjin to see if it is a Beemer or not.

Well, the heading says 'Guess what BMW' so I would presume it is a Beemer - just don't know which one??

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
But then seeing as the Beemer is a German make the US and Allied forces would not have had access to it and could not have used it. SO there seems to be a bit of a discrepancy here.

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
OK, I have been deliberately confusing you.
(the tanks says it all)
It is a flat-twin boxer engine shaft drive BMW copy made by...
Harley-Davidson - an experimental Model XA copy of the BMW with Harley fittings - one of 1005 made for the Normandy landings - hence the sand tyres

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
Seems not to have done it as it does not seem as if the design filtered through to any of the later Harley designs and models. Just a personal observation and thought.

Re: Quess what model BMW...?
Well, well……….I have read about this………”device” and thought it was a big joke and now it looks to me, here might be one in the….”flesh”
Not sure how it gets “attached” but in short, it allegedly allows one to take a leak without stopping.
If it is what I think it is…………..be sure never to end up behind this guy

He must be going so slow that stopping is not realy necessary. Must be very uncomfortable - would rather stop and ensure the survival of a plant in dire need of sustance if the neerest ultra city is still very far off.

Maybe he does not know how to wear a camelback. Seems as if he strapped it to his leg Or maybe it is a humanoid and that is his breather pipe or overflow
