POTHOLE INFORMATION
Chris wrote (elsewhere): I rode the road between Brits and Beestekraal last weekend the potholes are terrible, it is even worse than what we are used to.
Maybe its time we share pothole information as much as possible!
We were on the R515 yesterday from Cullinan/Rayton to Bapsfontein.
Please note that this road, especially the section running next to the railway line approaching the R25 Bapsfontein/Bronkhorstspruit T-junction, is in a terrible condition after the recent rains.

Re: POTHOLE INFORMATION
The general deterioration in the condition of our roads is one of the reasons why I bought a GS...!
After this weekend's rain, I found a number of new potholes on my route to and from work that appeared as fast as toadstools!
There is a new one almost 500mm wide in Dely Rd at the traffic circle with Lois in Newlands...!
BTW: Never ride through a puddle on the road - you never know how deep that puddle may be!

Re: POTHOLE INFORMATION
Just got back from Sabie
Road between Dullstroom and Lydenburg - HUGE potholes !
Really have to be careful. Had to do it with rain and very poor visibilty.
Luckily we got through , there and back.
So dangerous. Dont understand why they dont maintain these roads on a regular basis ! Maybe a few people need to sue the crap out of the Municipality ! Maybe they will then wake up !

Re: POTHOLE INFORMATION
Maybe these pothole roads can be entered on to a GPS map. Than people can add to it with some comments. People can then check the map before going on a trip. Maybe an IT boff can do this? Will there be roads left to travel?

Well, for the R515....see my previous comment....the main problem area is (was last weekend!) from S25 51.215 E28 31.316 up to S25 54.514 E28 31.642.
Comment: Going south is worse than going north.

Re: POTHOLE INFORMATION
A friend of mine, been biking for the last 30 odd years hit a massive pothole near Bronkhorstpruit over the weekend. The hole was so humungous that he could not avoid it and went through it, his front wheel survived the pothole - his back suspension broke due to the impact of the Pothole, whereafter he lost control - result - both are in the Pretoria East hospital - as he smashed his ankle and will probably lose most mobility in the ankle. But lets rather change place names - much easier than fixing the obvious.
