"The Breakfast Run venue for 9 May has been changed from Rooiberg to Beestekraal.
It's a much shorter ride and we want to accommodate Club Members who may wish to spend family time together given that it is Mother’s Day.
Beestekraal station will arrange a Buffet Breakfast for the two separate groups arriving at 09h00 (S) and 10h00 (GS) respectively. Buffet is about R50 to R55 per person.
This is only about 100 km from our departure point so the S group will leave at 08h00.
Members can then ride home at their leisure."

Both groups will depart from BP Centurion, close to Makro, just off the N1 and John Vorster Drive.

Re: 9 May Mothers' Day Club Rides
Just for info:
I rode the road between Brits and Beestekraal last weekend – the potholes are terrible, it is even worse than what we are used to.

Re: 9 May Mothers' Day Club Rides
Hi Chris
Thanks for the update. I will recce the road again next week-end just to see what it looks like , also given the rain that we have had over the last few days. I will then post and advise if the road is safe to travel.
Kind Regards,
Deon

It is not that you can’t ride it, but one must know about it and maybe plan for a SLOW ride on that section.

Re: 9 May Mothers' Day Club Rides
More Almal,
Ek sal meer se by die Riders Briefing.
Groete
Deon

Re: 9 May Mothers' Day Club Rides
Mud! What mud? Then again that Bruno's Alien Mud was some good fun.
I was on the canal roads in a bakkie last Sunday, and there was plenty water though if the conditions remain sunny until Sunday, the canal roads will be largely dry, and hopefully the ruts have been flattened and smoothed out.
I won't be able to attend tomorrow evening or Sunday's ride as I am off on a short trip. Remember to take pictures of any fun spots.
