Post by DaveS 10th March 2010, 14:51

Just spoke to Wahl. Was taken off his bike in Randburg by a pedestrian.

Did not even see the pedestrian. Apparently he was slowing down for the traffic lights and pedestrian walked into the rear of his bike and he was thrown off.

Nothing broken, bruised ribs and shoulder. Arm in a sling.

Is on his way to Bavarian to see what damage there is to his bike.

Heal up quick Wahl and get the bike fixed - Buff is next week!! Cool

Thanks for the wishes I realy appreciate it. Gee but it happened quick - one moment Iwason the bike felt a bump behind me and then I was flying over the handle bars.

Bike acctually looks not too bad the top box lid looks the worst but am worried over cylinder - no visible damage the crash bar did it's job but on the scene of the accident wile lying on the ground it made quite a puddle of oil.

Can be thankfull nothing is broken but ribs and shoulder is bruised and VERY sore

Looks like pedestrians the problem now!

...And the governmunt says road users must look out for pedestrians instead of telling pedestrians to look out fo vehicles and to cross at the correct place!!

Sounds as an utterance of the current ruling party one could actually expect - remember the pedestrians are the voters keeping them on the gravy train

Went to Zambia two weeks ago, if you hit any animals on the road, the owner of the animals is responsible for the damage to your vehicle. There are no animals on the roads, it’s great.

Gee, Wahl, sorry to hear of your spill. Sad

Glad you are ok. F$^%*@ pedestrians!! I swear they try to get hit by something, so they can claim against the driver! As if we don't have enough hassles from 'them' as it is.

Hope you will be good-to go for the Buff next week Smile

Hi Wahl,

Quite a fright to see "Whal down but fine".

Best of luck with the bruises. Can be painful for some time.

Better get lots of TLC (massages) from the boss back @ home to be ready for the Buff.
