If you have ever wanted to know exactly when your BMW motorcycle (or other BMW vehicle) was built, go to:

http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/

In the block marked "Fahrgestelnummer" Type in the last 7 digits of the VIN number of the BMW vehicle.
Click on the button "Submit query"...
