Tickets (R150) for this run will be available at Club night, 1 August.

It is a Charity Run to raise money for parents not able to pay school fees.
The route will take riders to Harties, Brits & back to Centurion on Saturday 30 August.

Breakfast - afterwards at Bakenkop Laerskool - a beer and badge are included.

Who wants to take part?

Andre, their plan is to start at 6:30 from Laerskool Bakenkop in Wierda Park.

Should I negotiate with the ride leader - maybe our Club can join them on the route and avoid a too early start?

Those that are closer to the school than to Atterbury Shell, can obviously join them from there.

Although it is end of August and practically spring so chances are that it can be a beautiful morning for riding.

I am an early bird, so 6:30 is not a problem, and I agree, end August is a beautiful time for an early morning ride. Let's co-ordinate and meet the group somewhere on the way or at the school, whatever the majority decision....Andre

I have 20 tickets @ R150 'up for grabs' for our Club members.
Several other clubs showed interest as well.
I understand from the organisers that there might be different routes for Superbikes, GS's, CLASSICS, etc... depends on who shows up.
Will communicate more detail closer to the time, but it seems to be a great day to attend.
If you can't be at the Club night tomorrow, contact me (PM or email dani@bmwclubs.co.za) if you're interested to purchase a ticket.

Dani - maybe you should post the details of the ride on the web - the doc you sent me earlier. Secondly - i would like to challenge all Club Members to support this ride as it is for an extremely good cause. Cannot believe that there is no support for this worthy cause in the club.

Agree, only 8 tickets sold. The document with the details about the ride was sent out to everybody on my BMW mailing list - approx 250 addresses, but will post on the web again.

OK .. enough said for now - going out for a ride on my 800GS NOW!
