To all of you...
...who are taking the day off on Friday and enjoying a long weekend away on the bike - have an enjoyable trip, ride safe, take lots of pictures to share and come home safely.
......AND.....
ask the committee allow a few minutes to share your experiences at one of the club meetings! I am sure that many trip ideas can be shared for future trips from your trip experiences.
Enjoy!!

Re: To all of you...
Thank you and to you too........
If we all keep quiet for a few seconds, we should be able to hear it.........loud and clear..........
the road is calling!!!
Distant locations to visit, faraway places to explore, experience freedom and sensations only on offer by biking and to top it off, sharing with friends and loved ones.....on some of the most potent machines ever built.
What a pleasure and privilege to be a biker.......
Enjoy and ride safe

Back from Bloem - had a very nice ride down through parts unknown. Came back yesterday with a very delightfull side wind of roughly 60km/h.

Re: To all of you...
So Marquard is in the news today.....as first winner of the “Volksblad-Toerismedorp van die Jaar-kompetisie”.
Runners-up are Clarens, Excelsior and Ladybrand while Ficksburg is in the vicinity anyway.
Maybe a tour some time or another to see if we agree..............?

Just trying to get hold of DotP to find out when she lands next weekend - maybe next Saturday and back on Sunday. I think she may land Sunday morning.

Re: To all of you...
Quite a long trip Dave.
Are you walking there, as your average speed over the 31 days will have to be about 5km/h to make it back on 11 November??
Please just let us know where you are on the 30th of October so that we can fetch you for the YEF....

Re: To all of you...
Marquad - 66km from Ficksburg, 68km from Ladybrand, 90km from Maseru (if you can get in at that border post).

I will most definitely be interested, BUT:
My mother is in the old-age home in Reitz, and I might need to drop off something there. I often take the Pta-Delmas-Devon-Balfour-Villiers-Frankfort-Reitz route. From there it’s the scenic route via Bethlehem, Ficksburg, etc.
This would be my preferred route but if another route is definitely better, it would be OK with me. Just as long as I don’t have to do any grondpad whatsoever!
Maybe this route for Sunday? Let’s discuss.
Dan vier ons sommer oom Paul se verjaardag langs die pad.

Re: To all of you...
If you at the meeting tomorrow we can discuss - I am sure we can swing by Reitz on the way.
If we get to Marquard about lunch time or just after it gives time to have a look around. Will post seperate thread later in upcoming trips.
