Re: Isn't she just beautiful?
This is what happens if you leave a GS and a YZ alone at night in the garage! (I know Knopkop's GS and CRF got an XChallenge!)

I think she's got her father's good looks, and her mother's temper!

Re: Isn't she just beautiful?
Ok... so I took her for the maiden voyage on Saturday. There is quite a ritual involved in riding the bike in. For the first two hours you have to do it on the low horsepower setting and then take if for the first inspection service. After that, you can put the plug in that adds another 10 horses, but still take it easy for another 3 hours. Only then are you ready to let all 'em horses loose!
So I started with some slightly less technical stuff at Rhino Park early Saturday morning. I did everything (except the motocross track) twice and then left for Sambok to see how the more technical stuff went. I was expecting to see some friendly faces there, but everyone was probably still sleeping off the previous night's refreshments!
I am pleased to announce that Sambok did not fail to live up to my expectations. I fell... not once, but TWICE... and this in one single lap!
First off was at the big tractor tires. I came over the tires relatively cleanly, but on the other side my front wheel washed out. Picked up the bike and carried on until a place where there are some shacks built next to the track. I was obviously looking at the peculiar location of these shacks and promptly lost front wheel traction on the sandy slope of the track. Slightly embarrassed now, I only completed the lap and headed off to play in more friendly territory - the veld between Sambok and Mamelodi. Fortunately no further incidents to report!
I must say that as with the 1200, the 450 also falls very nicely. Only some minor scratches on the plastics. At least now that is over and done with, so now I can truly start to enjoy her without having to worry about that first fall (Or the second one, for that matter!)

Re: Isn't she just beautiful?
Congrats
May have lots of sweaty hours on her
I was at Zambok Saturday morning from 07:00 to 9:00. Did 7 laps and saw no known friendly faces. So I decided to go watch the rugby at home alone.
Also did the motocross track at Rhino on Sunday with Koekels. The track is very easy to ride, but a bit technical when you go at speed, due to the entry ruts and uneven lands on the jumps. Koekels finished 8 laps on the track and slept like a baby the afternoon Adriaan's cousin took the 450 out on the day and he was literally flying. He even scrubbed some of the kicker jumps!!!
Marnus, I will be at Zambok again early on Saturday (Koekels will join me). This is probably the place where you can get the most return on your effort. A two hour practice session in the morning and you can still be back at home at 10 to watch the rugby
