Re: S1000RR down
Saw the bike S1000RR at Bavaria earlier this morning - always bad to see any bike buggered up the way this one has been - hope it can be replaced/repaired to its former glory. Does anybody have any news on the status of the rider/owner????

To restore this bike to its former glory is going to cost more than a new bike!!

Re: S1000RR down
Thought as much - still very sad to see such an excellent machine reduced to a pile of bent and buggered metal.

Re: S1000RR down
I think if you had to build up a motorcycle from parts purchased over the couter it would easily cost you a ZAR million!
We should be happy that all ZA BMW bikes come with pannier brackets, etc. 'factory fitted'...
(Elsewhere they are "optional extras" at replacement part prices.)
