Club night - Info and more!

Post by Admin on 2nd June 2009, 16:01

Club member Bruno Gila fetched from the airport on Saturday a young BMW enthusiast from Switzerland, Michael Kohler.
He has been travelling around the world on his R80 for 3 years now.

Michael will be at the Clubhouse on Friday night to share some of his stories!

Michael is living on a shoestring budget and seriously needs a good , used pair of riding boots; they could be short touring boots, size 9.
He also needs gloves and perhaps a buff.

He is writing a novel and has over 24 000 photos of the trip!
Michael is 34 yrs old and a quiet type but is looking forward to meet anybody that has been from Cape to Cairo.
He has just come from Brazil ...

Off-Road Riding
On Saturday or Sunday morning Bruno will take him to do some soft sand riding at Rhino Park as he has never ridden on sand and needs to practise for Sudan and Egypt. Bruno, Phillip and Antony will be riding with but anyone is welcome. Final arrangements with Bruno on Friday night.

1. Anyone willing to sponsor him with second hand boots / gloves / buff ?
2. Takers for Rhino Park over the weekend?

Wow - I can't wait to have a chat with Michael at the club night. Unfortunately my boots & gloves are in use and looking for a buff myself Neutral Are there no "spares" in the Lost and Found, or did we auction it all off? I'll have to wait for the details about the Rhino Park trip to see if I can squeeze it in with the other stuff, but it would be fun!
