2010 Oudtshoorn Bike Fest 2011 - Good News/Bad News Story.

There is actually no bad news to this story, only a stroke of luck which has changed the entire Bike Fest for next year. It'll be bigger than a bumper bumper long weekend! In previous correspondence we announced on behalf of BMW Clubs Africa that the Bike Fest was to be held once again in Oudtshoorn over the long weekend 19th to 21st March. This was discussed at BCA meeting and planned for. When we all left Oudtshoorn for home, everyone was informed "that we'd be back next year - same place same time" – except one lady at Kleinplaas who decided that we weren’t good enough as BMW Clubs Africa hadn’t actually “confirmed” the booking and has booked out half the place to some swimming event. Damn!
David de Bruyn did some quick thinking and booked out the entire Kleinplaas for the extended Easter long weekend next year. Starting Friday 22nd April all the way through to Wednesday 27th – all days except Tuesday 26 being public holidays!
Registration for the event will be on the Friday (Good Friday). We’ll do the same thing again as this year and leave on the Wednesday. So taking 3 days leave will give you an 8 day break! When you read this, make a note and diarize these dates for next year. You heard it here first. This Bike Fest will be BUMPER SIZED and you definitely don’t want to miss out on this! Watch this space for bookings.

True - short hop over. Seems Dave has opted to settle at the right place - seeing as this seems to be going to be there every year.
