scratch If you have ever wanted to know exactly when your BMW motorcycle (or other BMW vehicle) was built, go to:

http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/

In the block marked "Fahrgestelnummer" Type in the last 7 digits of the VIN number of the BMW vehicle.
Click on the button "Submit query"...
study
The month and year of the vehicle will be sourced from BMW's database, together with other basic data about your vehicle (in Deutsch, ja!) elephant
