Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P. - Page 2 Empty Rust in vrede, Jamie

Post by Geebee 15th November 2009, 23:15

Dear Stienie and family,

The news reached Magda and myself today through the BMWSuperbikesforum too and has triggered similar feelings as the ones above among his global friends on the forum on which he was a moderator.

There are no words to express what we feel but we would like you to know that our hearts and minds are with you and yours!

With kind and warm regards,

Magda and Guy (aka Geebee)

Jamie Rossouw - R.I.P. - Page 2 Empty A very sad day...

Post by SHIVA 15th November 2009, 23:47

I am the admin at BMWSuperBikes.com, where Jamie was a very active member since 22 Oct 2004. He was not only a highly popular, extremely informed member but I had the privilege of having him as one of our moderators.

I am very saddened by this news. He will certainly be missed. My condolences to his wife and family.

We have a global announcement thread on our forum about Jamie that you can find here:

Also, I'd very much like to get info about the memorial time/location. Thank you very much.

Post by Rooikat 16th November 2009, 08:52

I have only seen this thread this morning on the Think Bike Forum, and I have posted the following message there:

This is terrible news. I have never met him personally, but I have read a lot of posts by Jamie, on TB as well as the Pretoria BMW Club Forum. It felt as if I knew him personally. What a great man, and such a big family person. He was so proud of his family, and enjoyed riding with them so much. They did not even need anybody else to ride with, as they were best friends as well.

To Jamie's family: I am so heartbroken about your loss. I hope God will carry you through this terrible time. And remember, Jamie made a big difference in a lot of people's lives, even though we have never met him.

To Jamie: Rest in peace brother. I hope you enjoy all the twisties in the sky-ways.

To Stienie and Family.

Thinking of you during this troubling time.

Jamie was a real friend to so many of us. As a newbie he always had time and patience on all my questions and riding style.

Someone who was not afraid to speak his mind. Not afraid to show his religion.

Jamie - You will be missed.

My heart is broken this morning.
Seeing the family last night, I could find no words.

Jamie...a friend, a mentor, a father figure and a biker brother, you will be missed.
You were there for me from the start, helped me along in more ways than I could have ever thanked you for, and your life was an example to all of us.
Thank you for truly making a difference in my life.

Ride on in heaven, and keep an eye on us from above.

Rest in Peace. Crying or Very sad

Wat kan ons se - Veral as dit gebeur met n mede-motorfietsryer waarmee ons saam gery het, saam gesels het en saam gekuier het.

Jamie,

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Hi Stienie, Jean, Jacques and Vanessa
May our Lord Jesus Christ comfort you and guide you until you see Jamie again. He is not dead, but alive - just staying in another place where we will meet up with him again. He was not a great guy, he still is.

Hi Jamie, please give our deepest love to our youngest son, Emile. Have a laugh, have a smile, and know that we will one day join you never to be parted again. We thank the Lord for the time we could have spent with you and we are looking forward to meeting up with you again.

I met Jamie at a "Track day with a difference". In a very humble way he assisted with advice and emailed me some photos afterwards. The measure of the shock I felt reading about the terrible news after knowing him such a short time says loads about Jamie the man Condolences to Stienie, Jean, Jacques and Vanessa. My bike’s pillion pegs will be down for the week. Jamie, may your journey onwards be a sweet ride!
